Chaucer College was established in 1992 by the Shumei Foundation, a Japanese educational charitable organisation. We have over 25 years’ teaching experience in delivering English language courses at our British Council accredited study centre in Canterbury, in Kent. Our mission is to promote international co-operation and friendship through the study of the English language.
To help support these activities we have an extensive range of facilities that can be booked for conferences and events. Located on an expansive campus, the Japanese architecture that characterises our college creates a peaceful and beautiful environment. Canterbury itself has a diverse international community, with good access to London and Europe ensuring accessibility for all your attendees. We have a large auditorium available for talks, lectures and plenary sessions. This is kitted out with everything you need including a fully integrated PA, projector and PC. This is accompanied by classrooms of varying sizes able to accommodate between 15 to 56 people. All classrooms are also equipped with a projector and PC to enable easy access to your digital resources.
Our IT networks and across site WiFi means everyone has consistent access to the online and digital content you need to ensure everything runs smoothly. The on-site Computer Suite provides ease of access to digital resources and enables easy video conferencing capability.
